I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. I've been an entrepreneur my whole life. In 2006 I was working at a construction site trying to pay for college when I was run over by a large skidster. It snapped my left leg in half and pretty much crushed my dreams of walking again. Over the next 12 months I was confined to only my bed being sponge-bathed. I had 3 surgeries and was told that I would never walk again. In 2007 I began an experimental treatment to have stem-cells injected into my leg to regrow the bone. Over the next 6 months I learned how to walk again by walking in the deep end of the pool and moving my way to the shallow end. This is something I feared that I would never do again, but I was determined to try everything possible to beat my odds.
