We’re so used to having some things at our disposal, so used to take them for granted that only when they totally manage to pull us out of trouble we learn to appreciate them.

Yesterday I was working on a project that involved quite a lot of coding. After I managed to come up with the end result for one section (which took about one hour), the copy-paste for various parts of the code did the job for the rest of sections. So, instead of six hours, it only took one and a half for everything.

Isn’t that efficiency? And based on what? On such a simple function like the copy-paste. Thank God for that and thank the one who thought of it first!

Sometimes, less is more

After this experience (not that it was the first time I had it, but it’s the first time I considered writing about it) I’m once again convinced that sometimes, less is more.

You do not have to have the most beautiful site in the world, but rather a clean one. You do not have to have the biggest posts in the blogosphere, but rather the useful ones. You do not have to have the biggest RSS subscribers count, but rather the readers you can connect to, the readers who get involved in conversation.

Sometimes it’s about quantity, but most times quality dictates. Less is more if done smart. And this concludes what probably is my shortest “tips” post on Blogsessive.
