I recently got featured on Inc talking about toxic employees and how to spot them before you hire them. In my life I have hired hundreds of people and fired a few toxic employees. It’s something that every business owner is going to have to deal with. The key is to be able to spot it before it even happens.

Have Others Do It For You
I can be fooled; other people can be fooled; but a whole team is very hard to fool. If you have team interviews, most of the time they will sniff out the toxic employee. I like to interview and narrow it down to two or three prospects that I like, then have the team decide. If we do hire that person accidentally, take care of the problem sooner rather than later!
