Getting a customer to open an email can be a large task sometimes. We’ve gotten up to a 40% open rate on emails by using hilarious titles. We spend almost as much time working on email titles as we do creating the whole email itself. When you spend a lot of time on titles it’ll help you develop nothing but the best.
Something else I have noticed is that eCommerce companies did best on Thursday nights around 9pm. These times were golden for users to open emails. Titles that are funny seemed to do better. Later emailed always performed way better than an email that was sent in the early morning.

Use funny titles
We’ve found that we get a 30-40 percent increase in open rates when we write funny titles for the emails. This causes people to want to find out what your email contains. This works wonders when we have to have them open the emails because of security issues, etc.
