You don’t have to make a big change in business to see a big difference. The little things add up! Black Enterprise recently asked 13 business owners, myself included, what our best small change tips were. Mine is to embrace silence days, which are every Tuesday and Thursday at Due.com. This doesn’t mean total silence, but everyone is encouraged to avoid chatting and email as well as scheduling meetings on these days. It frees you up to prioritize your work distraction-free. These days have a 60 percent more productive ranking than others and programming enjoys a 90 percent boost!
Other tips can include something as simple as staying home when you’re sick. There’s nothing noble in trudging through the day doing only accomplishing a little bit of your usual workload, all while infecting the rest of your colleagues. Increasing prices is another surprisingly small move that obviously makes a huge impact! Another business owner recommends writing everything down, which can be difficult to get the hang of initially.
Whether it’s adding group chats as a means of increasing communication or focusing on value first, there are endless ways you can improve your business with minimal effort.
